Shirley Ann was born in Fenton Michigan on November 21, 1935 the daughter of Foster & Evelyn (Dobbs) Gillespie and has resided in the Davison area for over 48 years. She was joined in marriage to Arthur E. Schrader on March 24, 1956 in Fenton and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2010, sharing 54 year of marriage together. She was active member of South Mundy United Methodist Church, Davison VFW Post 4087 Auxiliary, and a graduate of Fenton High School. One of Shirley's greatest joys was traveling with her husband. They would load up the car and hit the open road every chance they could get. She loved life and was a kindred spirit who wanted nothing more than everyone around her to be happy. She was also a avid gardener and enjoyed spending her time outside in her yard tending to her flowers. She was always satisfied with the little things life had to offer such as watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. Shirley was her happiest when she was spending time with the ones she loved. she had a very unique way about her, the ability to make every person in her life feel like they were special.
Shirley had been employed by Goodrich Community Schools as a bus driver for 27 years and was adored by the children she served. Shirley loved driving bus but above all else her true passion was being a mother and wife. She enjoyed cooking sewing and truly enjoyed learning new things.
