3 Juanita Dickinson, 70, dies
Juanita m. Dickinson, 70, of Birmingham, died July 17, 1997, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.
Family visitiation begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established with the Jefferson County Cancer Fund or donor's choice.
Junaita Dickinson was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Washington county, to Samuel and Fern May Baker. She married Harold Dickinson on Jan. 27, 1946, in Richland. She attended Crawfordsville Schools and elementary school at Havre County School. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1944.
She worked in a private home and at Dressler Grocery, Richland. She lived in Richland, Keosauqua and Birmingham areas and was a farm homemaker and was employed at the Fairfield Best Western Inn until health reasons forced her to quit. She held many positions in the Methodist church, including assistant pianist, Sunday school superintendent, teacher and various offices in the UMW.
Survivors include: her husband, Harold Dickinson, Birmingham; three daughters, Marcia Beck, Fort Madison, Diane Goemaat, Douds, Rhonda Dickinson, Keosauqua; one son, Steven Dickinson, Fairfield; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Everette Baker, Richland , Donald Baker, Farson; two sisters, Bessie Schlatter, Wayland, Ruth Zieglowsky, Wayland.
She ws preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
