Biography

Donita Ramona Overstreet was born on 10 October 1928 in Eagle City, Blaine, Oklahoma.1 She and Marion Paul Cavett were married on 11 May 1947.1 She died on 27 September 2012, at age 83, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma.1 She was buried in Eagle CIty Cemetery, Eagle City, Blaine, Oklahoma.1
Donita Ramona Cavett was born to Bill and Ruth Overstreet of Eagle City on October 10th, 1928. Ramona departed this life on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in the Eagle City area where she graduated from Eagle City High School. Ramona met Marion Cavett at a church retreat, and were married on May 11th, 1947. They lived on a farm in the Eagle City/Oakwood area for 12 years, where they raised three boys before moving to Canton: Danny, Kent and Larry.

She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. William Davis for several years, managed the Southard Cafe, and later owned and managed the Canton Cafe. After selling the Canton Cafe, she went to work at HollyTech in Watonga, Oklahoma. Later she prepared meals for the Senior Citizens Center for several years until retirement.

Ramona loved to travel with camping buddies. Nothing was more important than her family and her brother and sisters in Christ. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, and her sister, Stella Mae.

She is survived by her three sons, Danny Cavett and wife Jeanie of Moore, William Kent Cavett of Fairview, and Larry Cavett and wife Sue of Yukon. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Mark Cavett, Tonya Groves, Eric Cavett, Scott Cavett, Donita Villarama, Paul Cavett, Suzanne Cavett, Joshua Cavett. She is also survived by 8 great grand children, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 at Canton Church of Christ with Reuben Rog officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
