James S. Quick, 75, of Cresco, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 28 at Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Tillie (Smith) Quick, to whom he was married for 44 years.
Born in Moscow, he was the son of the late Claude and Ida B. (Zacharias) Quick.
Jim was a Realtor/associate for Century 21 Millennium Real Estate, Stroudsburg. He was the former owner of Pocono Sport Shop, Mountainhome, and the Tobyhanna Sports Camp. In addition, he also worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Pocono Masonic Lodge
780; Fraternal Order of Eagles 1106; Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2540, Stroudsburg; and Keokee Chapel, Paradise Valley.
In addition to his wife Tillie, he is survived by one daughter, Terrilynn Ford of Escondido, Calif.; one son, Richard Quick of Bodega Bay, Calif., one stepson, Ralph Siegfried Jr. of Stroudsburg; one sister, Virginia Miller of Tobyhanna; four grandchildren, Jenifer Lyn Carlson, Chelsea Allison Ford and Carrilynn E. Ford, all of California, and Ralph Siegfried III of Ohio; one great grandson, Brandon of Ohio; several nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
The Reverend Wayne Pratt will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, at Keokee Chapel, Paradise Valley. Interment will follow in Keokee Chapel Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 1, with a Masonic Service at 7:30, at Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley.
