Biography

Joseph David Piper was born in November 1857 in Ohio.1 He died in 1944, at age ~87.1 He was buried in Saint Mary Cemetery (Mother of Divine Grace, Row 2), Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio.1
Joseph David Piper was a Police Officer. Occupation: Police officer. The story was told to me that during his time as a police officer he had to shoot one person that was running away from him. He tried to shoot him in the leg but his aim wasn't good and he actually killed him. That haunted him for the rest of his life. He told this story to my mother, his granddaughter, and she told me the story.

Biography

Ruth Perea Piper was born on 16 January 1893 in Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio.1,2 She died on 10 January 1971, at age 77, in Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio.2 She was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio.2
Daughter of Joseph David Piper and Alice Elizabeth Hankison Piper. She was a homemaker and mother of 3 children, Marcel Franklin Page, John Joseph Page and Carlene JoAnn Page Littrell Hackbusch Jones.

She had a beautiful yard full of flowers and would provide cut flowers for the church altar. She was a great cook and canned from her garden and fruit trees.

Her mother died when she was very young and Ruth went her entire life not knowing how to spell her middle name. It was known until I found it at the court house in the 1990's written down in the birth records for the 1893 year.
