4,5 ZANESVILLE -- Goldie F. Jones, 69, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at her residence after a long illness.
Goldie was born March 7, 1934, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Goldie Van Dyne Chambers. She attended Lash High School and was formerly employed at Brockway Glass, Rink's Snack Bar and most recently, did home health care. She attended Sharon Ave. Free Methodist Church and was a member of Cambridge VFW Auxiliary and loved genealogy, crafts and playing canasta.
Goldie is survived by sons, Darryl (Rita) Jones of Zanesville and Walter "Dale" (Danielle) Jones II of East Fultonham; daughters, Jackie (Rob) Holowell of Chandlersville, Patsy (Matthew) Conrad of Norwich, Dixie (Jeff) Havens of Swepsonville, N.C. and Heidi Jones and fianc�e, Gary Tracey of Zanesville; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Sonny (Loretha) Chambers of East Fultonham, Terry (Judy) Chambers of Philo and Gail (Jeannie) Chambers of Zanesville; sisters, Beck (Dewey) Gladman of Zanesville and Trink (Fred) Fisher of Dayton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Walter Dale Jones I; a son, Terry Dale Jones; brothers, Paul Chambers, Ike Chambers, Kenneth Chambers and Roy Chambers; and sisters, Dixie Collins and Betty Roberts.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Steve Bounderant officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
