4 Franklin Merle Lytle of 803 West Main Street died today, Dec. 3, 1965, at the Washington County Hospital. He had not been well for the past three years.
Mr. Lytle was born in Washington County, a son of J. Alexander and Victorine Cunningham Lytle. He was reared here and in Des Moiones, and attended the University of Chicago.
He was married in 1914 to Pleatus Burgess who died in 1929. On June 28, 1935 he was married to Edna Orr.
Mr. Lytle had been a salesman for the American Pearl Button Co. for a number of years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had served on the official board and in many other capacities for the church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Dean of the Past Masters, and a 50 year Past Master. Mr. Lytle also was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.
Surviving are his wife; one brother, Luther of Webster Groves, Mo. One son Billy Alex, and a daughter, Mary Ellen, preceded him in death.
