Mrs. Hazel M. Miller. 78. Of 1219 E. Locust St. died at 1:30 a.m. today in University Hospital following surgery. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose and a former Anchor Hocking employee.
Survivors include her husband, Lester J. Miller; six sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gundlefinger. Mrs. Stanley (Rosalie) Stover, Mrs. Emmet [sic] (Pauline) England. Mrs. Dorothy Poston, all of Lancaster. Mrs. Earl (Frances) Campbell, Rt. 4 Lancaster and Mrs. Ray (Bernadine) Yates, Springfield, O.; two brothers, John Albert and Henry Oatney Jr. both of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a step-daughter Mrs. William (Betty) Wilson, Troy. Mich.; a step bother, Gerald A Miller, Orange Park, Fla.; five step grandchildren; a step great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Short, a daughter, Rena Imler and a brother. Martin Oatney.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Paul O. Weimer officiating; burial in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may call at Smith's after 7 p.m. Thursday and anytime Friday.
