David Kenneth Wintermute, 66, of Burien passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2013.
He will be remembered and missed by Julie, his companion and wife of 33 years, their daughter Maggie, his brother Will, and many friends and family members.
Dave was a lifelong Burien resident and a professional engineering geologist, as well as a full-time dad to his daughter. He was known to all of his friends and neighbors as a talented "Mr. Fix-It", with semi-magical abilities ranging from auto repair and electrical system design to woodcarving and birdhouse construction. He will ne remembered by his friends and family as a quietly funny, capable man who was always generous with his time and attention. His family members prefer donations to the Swedish cancer Institute in lieu of flowers.
