WINFIELD - Pearl Brown Brinkerhoff, 85, Winfield, longtime Pittsburg resident, died Friday at Winfield.
Mrs. Brinkerhoff was born July 7, 1886 in Fort Scott. She was the wife of the late Fred Brinkerhoff, editor of the Pittsburg Headlight Sun from 1911 to 1966. She lived all her married life in Pittsburg until Brinkerhoff's death Aug.13, 1966 when she moved to Winfield to be near her niece, Mrs. Richard Gibson.
Survivors include another niece, Mrs. Walter Milton, Woodland Hills, Calif., and 2 nephews, Ben W. Lowther, Lt. Col, retired, Topeka, and Homer B. Lowther, Topeka.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg. The Swisher-Taylor Funeral Home in Winfield is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Ragsdale, 18, of 400 E. 10, died Sunday afternoon at St Anthony hospital after a seven-month illness.
Born in Ardmore, she moved to the city with her family at the age of seven. She was a member of Central high school's a Cappella choir. She had been employed by WKY and KOMA as a radio singer and belonged to the United Brethren church.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Esther Ragsdale, home address; her father, R. W. Ragsdale, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry Ragsdale, with the marines overseas; Bobby Ragsdale, home address, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Chambers, 1304 N Bruce,
Services will be at 10 am Tuesday in the Street and Draper funeral home with burial at Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum.
