George P. Wransky, Sr., 71, of Elyria, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at EMH Regional Medical Center-Avon Campus. He was born August 8, 1937 in Cleveland and had also lived in North Olmsted, where he graduated from North Olmsted High School. He served with the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959 and for many years was an engineer at Alltel. He was a member of St. Jude Church in Elyria.
George is survived by daughters, Lucinda Wiles of Kipton, Elise Bailey of Monroe Falls and Celeste Campbell of Elyria; sons, George, Jr., of El yria, Edward of Grafton, Kenneth of South Amherst and Glenn of Union, W V; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sisters, Katherine Terrace of Parma, Mary Ann Harvey of Norwalk and Jo Ann Stock of Bay Village; and brother James of Greenwich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Dorothy Wransky, and a s ister, Rose Marie Seidel.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at St. Jude Church in E lyria. Rev. Frank P. Kosem will be officiating. Burial will be in St. M ary Cemetery, Elyria.

Obituary
Emagene Elizabeth Wransky (nee Dostall), 58, of South Amherst, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home, following a courageous battle w ith pancreatic cancer. She was born February 5, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
At an early age, Emagene and her family moved to South Amherst. She briefly lived in Kipton before moving back to South Amherst, where she had resided until her passing. Emagene was a graduate of South Amherst High School with the class of 1978.
Her primary focus in life was taking care of her family. Emagene had pr eviously worked at Piggy's Market and the Erie Shore Girl Scouts. She loved children and operated a daycare out of her home. Emagene was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Lorain. Her hobbies included, gardening and camping. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandbabies.
Among those who will cherish Emagene's memory are her husband of 29 years, Kenneth W. Wransky; daughters, Margaret (Adam) Cooper of Parker, Pennsylvania and Morgan Wransky of Amherst; grandchildren, Allison, Courtney and Nathan; mother, Margaret Bertha Dostall (nee Socotch) of Oberlin; brothers, Perry (Cindy) Dostall of Greenville, South Carolina and Carl Dostall of Amherst and sisters, Rita Oglesby of Jamestown Island, South Carolina, Susan Howell of Oberlin and Pamela (Ken) Hertl of Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Weaver; brother-in-law, Roger Oglesby and father, Carl Leslie Dostall.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at Noon at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Reverend Father Nicholas Rachford, Pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
