The Rev. Betty Eileen Wintermute, 77, Findlay, formerly of Lancaster and Logan, died Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
Born July 22, 1920, Carbon Hill, daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Michaels Wend, she was the widow of the Rev. W. Fred Wintermute, who died in 1981.
A retired United Methodist minister, she served churches in the Logan area. She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Liberty Grange in Ada and Ohio Easter Star Chapter 244 in Hamden.
Surviving are a son, Jan S. Wintermute of Findlay; a daughter, Roberta Lewis of Bowling Green; one grandchild; and three sisters, Virginia Bowl and, Gertrude Clouston and Lillian Young, all of Nelsonville.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wend, and a sister, Phyllis Schenz.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan , with the Revs. Violet Mosher and Jimmie Spears officiating. Burial will be in Ashbury Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be held 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
