Born: October 21, 1923, in Bloomsbury, NJ, she was a daughter of the late William Carver and the late Laura Mae DeGraw Carver. Personal: Her husband, Joseph Pittenger, died in May 2001. She was a worker at McGinley Mills in Phillipsburg for many years, retiring in 1971. She enjoyed the warm summer days at Meuser Pool in Wilson Borough. She also enjoyed the company of friends and family. Survivors: Other family members, Don and Pat Pittenger and their son Glen of Arizona; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and many great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, William Z. Carver, two sisters, Geraldine Templeton and Ethel Dailey, as well as Darren Pittenger, son of Don and Pat Pittenger. Services: Will be Friday, May 22, 2009, at 6 p.m. in the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg, NJ. Burial will be in the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Stanhope, NJ at the convenience of the family. Memorials: May be made to Heartland Hospice, 881 Marcon Blvd., Allentown, PA 18109.
