Richard Coleman “Dick” Witters, 70, passed away on April 10, 2010, in Cary, NC. He was born on May 2, 1939 in Valparaiso, Indiana, to his parents Aubrey and Ethel LaVanchie Witters.
He is survived by Maria, his loving wife of 46 years; daughters Michelle Witters and Cherise Dixon and her husband Greg; grandchildren: Joey (Amanda), Brandi, Megan, Ryan, Ava and Andrew; great granddaughter Kaylee. Will also be missed by his sister Nancy Tietgen and husband Ron as well as 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday April 13, 2010 at the chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN.

Ronald S. Tietgen, 76, of Morrisville passed away July 25, 2011. Ronald was born in New York City, NY on November 19, 1934. He moved to Miami in 1952, where he met his wife of 54 years, Nancy Witters Tietgen. He later moved to Raleigh in 1979 to become the Superintendent of Parks for the City of Raleigh.
Ronald is survived by his wife Nancy Witters Tietgen of Morrisville, NC; Children Timothy Hugh Tietgen and wife Myra Philips Tietgen of Cary, NC and Kimberly Lynn Tietgen McCall and husband Stuart Michael McCall of Santa Fe, NM; Grandchildren Laura Nichol Tietgen Racz and Husband Aaron, Steven Taylor Tietgen, Michael Carl Tietgen, Kendall Jo Ann McCall, and Savannah Star McCall; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A Celebration of Ronald's Life will be held Saturday, July 30th at 11am at Cremation Society of the Carolinas, 2205 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC.
