Donald C. Treible, 89, of Hope, NJ, died on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Heath Village, Washington Township, Morris County. Born: In Blairstown, NJ, he was a son of the late Sylvester W and Cecelia Titman Treible. Personal: Mr. Treible lived most of his life in Blairstown and Hope, and the last five years at Heath Village. He was a World War II Navy veteran and served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters on the destroyer USS Livermore at the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Treible was a former Hope Township Committeeman who served as Mayor in 1975, and he was a charter member of the Hope Volunteer Fire Department. He started his plumbing, heating, and electrical business, Donald C. Treible, Inc., in 1954, which continues today. Survivors: Mr. Treible is survived by his loving family, his wife, the former Nancy Leida; two daughters, Diane Cooke of Frelinghuysen Township, and Sheryl Conklin of Warwick, NY; grandchildren, Nicholas and Benjamin Conklin, and Lindsey and Lauren Cooke; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold, Charles, and William; and sisters, Edythe Dutt, Polly Hutchins, and Marion Stock. Services: Private graveside funeral services were under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Rt. 94, Blairstown, NJ. HOPE -- Charles C. Trible, 82, died at his home on Sunday, May 29, 2005.

Born Oct. 16, 1922 in Blairstown, to the late Westley and Cecelia Titman Treible, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Treible was a school teacher for 33 years in both Frelinghuysen Township and prior to that in the Newton School System. He received his teaching degree from East Stroudsburg State College.

He was a veteran of the Navy SeaBees during WWII.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Biles Treible, three sons, Jon of Phillipsburg, Doug of Dover and Jim of Etowah, N.C., one daughter, Joanne Treible of Camas, Wa., a brother, Donald Treible of Hope, four grandchildren, Brendan Derek, Marissa and Adrienne Treible, all of North Carolina.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 4 at 3 p.m. in the Jehovah's Witnesses Belvidere Congregation Kingdom Hall, Hope-Delaware Road, Knowlton Township, under the direction of the Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown.
