Isaac Read Titman was born on 15 November 1851 in Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.^1,2,3,4,5 He and Sarah Catheriine Van Scoten were married about 1875 in Walnut Valley, Warren, New Jersey.¹ He and Sarah Catheriine Van Scoten were married about 1876.¹ He died on 7 March 1944, at age 92.^1,2,5 He was buried in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.⁵

Isaac Read Titman was a Famrer. Isaac Read Titman was the second son and second child of the 12 children of Baltis Titman and Malinda Read. He appears to have been named after his maternal grandfather, Isaac Read, III. However, he was known throughout his life as "Read" and not as Isaac. Read was born 15 November 1851 in Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey (Cedar Ridge Cemetery; LDS Batch #C509751). His parents owned a farm along Yards Creek at the foot of the Kitttaniny or Blue Mountains, just to the north of Walnut Valley (Beers 1873). The original Titman ancestor, Ludwig Dittman (later anglizied to Titman) is supposed to have settled in this area. Read grew up on this farm. He appears as a resident of his parents household on the 1860 and 1870 census.

In about 1875, Read married his third cousin Sarah Catherine Vanscoten 5 (Margaret Ann Kinney VanScoten4, Catherine Read Kinney3, Aaron Read2, Joseph Read1). Sarah was born 26 September 1857 in Walnut Valley, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of John A. VanScoten and Margaret Ann Kinney. Her paternal grandfather, Daniel VanScoten was a tavern keeper and the postmaster of Walnut Valley. Her maternal grandmother, Catherine Read Kinney was a first cousin of Read's mother, Malinda Read Titman. Sarah and Read shared Joseph Read as their gret-great-grandfather.

Read and Sarah settled on a farm adjacent to Read's parents. The 1880 census lists the two households adjacent to one another. Read and Sarah Titman lived in dwelling number 142, while Baltis and Malinda Titman lived in dwelling 143. Two of Read and Sarah's 12 childen had been born by 1880: John and Albert. Sarah was expecting her third child and first daughter at the time the census was enumerated (11 June 1880 is recorded on the census). Cora Titman was born in August 1880. Cecelia T. Titman was born on 26 June 1892 in Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.^1,2,3 She and Sylvester Wesley Treible were married on 23 February 1911 in Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.¹ She died on 2 September 1971, at age 79, in Hope, Warren, New Jersey.³ She was buried in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.³

Cecelia T. Titman was also known as Cecelia T. Titman.⁴

Verna A. Newman was born on 25 December 1890 in Franklin, Sussex, New Jersey.¹ She and Verner K. Titman were married about 1912.² She died on 8 February 1963, at age 72.^2,3 She was buried in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown, Warren, New Jersey.³
