She was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at San Sebastian Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Walsh officiating. Graveside services will be held later this week at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, N.Y. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lewis James Phelps; daughter, Karen Phelps Thompson, husband Bruce, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; three sons, William Lewis Phelps, wife Linda, St. Augustine, Stephen James Phelps, Mooresville, N.C. and Brian Charles Phelps, wife Pamela, Orange Park; brother, Charles Francis Flanagan, Southbury, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Kathryn Hall, Erik Phelps, Stephen Phelps Jr., Jennifer Freeseman, Timothy Phelps, Robert Phelps, Sarah Sears and Laura Bruce; and nine great-grandchildren, Katelyn Hall, Grace Hall, Ethan Phelps, Logan Phelps, Margaret Sears, Kathleen Sears, Charles Sears, Brianna Bruce and McKenzie Phelps. Lewis James Phelps, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Marguerite Mary Flanagan Phelps, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
The relatives and friends of Lewis Phelps are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside on Friday, August 8, 2014 in Calvary-St. Patrick Cemetery, 501 Fairview Street, Johnson City, NY at 12:00 Noon. Arrangements by William R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, Binghamton, NY.
Lewis was born May 25, 1920 in Binghamton, New York, son of the late Lewis O. Phelps and Jessie Arnold Phelps. He was a retired Manufacturing Manager.
He is survived by three sons, Brian C. (Pam) Phelps of Orange Park, FL, Stephen J. Phelps of Mooresville, NC, and William L. (Linda) Phelps of St. Augustine, FL; daughter, Karen (Bruce) Thompson of Mount Pleasant, SC; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Margaret Phelps.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Benedict Catholic Church, 950 Darrell Creek Trail, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466.

Joyce E. Beardsley, 82, of Montrose, PA. passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems. She was born in Dimock, PA, to the late Guy Leon and Vera Mae (Kinney) Greenwood.
Surviving are her son and significant other, Jim Beardsley and Sarah Millard, Montrose, PA, daughter and significant other, Kim Beardsley and Andy Grick, Montrose, PA, three grandchildren, Jason G. Beardsley, Esq., Jessie Tripp, and Jamie Rowe, four great grandchildren, Kaylee, Christian and Connor Tripp, Katie Rowe, sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Tom Sipe, Dimock, PA, sister-in-law, Rosemarie Greenwood, Dimock, PA, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jim Greenwood, sister, Betty Arbosheski, and infant sister, Evelyn Jean Greenwood.
Joyce was a hard worker, first at her family’s farm, then at Bendix for 14 years in the payroll department, and later as a personal care giver. She was a world traveler; she did this through her trips awarded for her top sales of “Princess House” merchandise. Joyce was always family orientated, not only with her children, but her extended family; especially during illness. Joyce always did for others before herself.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 10, 2014, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Spering of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Dimock Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lois is survived by; her faithful companion, Rusty, her dog, daughter and caregiver Denise Rosenkrans, her children Jeffrey and Amanda, Port Crane, son David Brown, his children Molly, Myles and Jordan, Binghamton, son Donald and Marsha Brown, their children Kenneth (K.C.), Michael, Jonathan and Steven, Heidelberg, Germany and son Dennis and Debi Brown, their children, Caitlin, Nathaniel, Matthew and Victoria, Windsor. She also leaves behind sisters, Maxine Fox (Mickey), Kingsley, Pa., Jean and Ron Davis, Johnson City, Brother and Sister-in-law Donald and Pat Brown, Endwell, Sisters-in-law; Felicia Kinney, Hop Bottom, Pa., Helen Kinney, Syracuse, and many nieces and nephews, also Colleen Brown, Laura Terry, Elizabeth Rogler, and Jeff Rosenkrans.
