Alice Olivia Borg was born on 17 November 1872 in Sweden.¹ She and William Pembroke Rose Fletcher were married on 13 December 1895 in Richmond, Tioga, Pennsylvania.^1,2 She died on 15 November 1936, at age 63, in Mansfield, Tioga, Pennsylvania.³ She was buried on 17 November 1936 in State Road Cemetery, Mainsburg, Tioga, Pennsylvania.⁴

Mrs. Alice Fletcher, 64, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 1936, after an illness of two months.

The daughter of Olaf and Mary Olson Borg, she was born November 17, 1872, in Sweden. When she was a few months old the family came to America and settled in Morris Run. In 1902 she was married to Pembrook Fletcher and until the death of Mr. Fletcher about nine years ago, resided in Sullivan township. For the past few months she had resided in Mansfield. She was a member of the State Road Baptist church and was active in the work of the church and its organizations as long as her health permitted. She was a sincere Christian, and although for many years a cripple, she was always cheerful and uncomplaining.

Surviving are a brother, John Borg, of Canoe Camp, and a sister, Mrs. Uriah Frenceh, of Millerton, and several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service was held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at the home of her brother-in-law, Irving Osgood, on South Main street, and funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the Sullivan State Road Baptist Church, the Rev. D. J. Griffiths, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was made in the Sullivan State Road Cemetery. Alice Olivia Borg immigrated in 1896.⁵ She was naturalized in 1918.⁵

An estimable young lady passed away in Sullivan last Friday in the death of Miss Lucy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Humprey Fletcher, in the 21st year of her age. The funeral was conducted on Sunday by the Rev. H. E. Hyde from the State Road Baptist church.
