The daughter of Olaf and Mary Olson Borg, she was born November 17, 1872, in Sweden. When she was a few months old the family came to America and settled in Morris Run. In 1902 she was married to Pembrook Fletcher and until the death of Mr. Fletcher about nine years ago, resided in Sullivan township. For the past few months she had resided in Mansfield. She was a member of the State Road Baptist church and was active in the work of the church and its organizations as long as her health permitted. She was a sincere Christian, and although for many years a cripple, she was always cheerful and uncomplaining.
Surviving are a brother, John Borg, of Canoe Camp, and a sister, Mrs. Uriah Frenceh, of Millerton, and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service was held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at the home of her brother-in-law, Irving Osgood, on South Main street, and funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the Sullivan State Road Baptist Church, the Rev. D. J. Griffiths, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was made in the Sullivan State Road Cemetery. Alice Olivia Borg immigrated in 1896.
