Lois W. Grow, 95, of Springville, PA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009. She was born in Auburn Twp. to the late James E. and Iona May (Snover) Wilbur. Her husband of 42 years, George M. Grow, and son, Edwin D. Grow, predeceased her.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Alyne and John Horn of Springville, Marlene and Ed Pompey of Springville; daughter-in-law, Beverly Grow of Springville; six grandchildren, Shelley and Tom Krishak, Jason and Jennifer Horn, Jared and Danica Horn, Jeremy and Katie Horn, Jennifer and Paul Ward and Eddie Pompey; seven great-grandchildren, Allison, Kayla and Kristi Krishak, Brittany, Cheyenne, Marissa and Landon Horn.

Mrs. Grow was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school there for 42 years. She was also a member of the Springville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was very active in “My Brother’s Keeper” where she made sleeping bags for the homeless, as well as provided clothing and supplies.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with Rev. Jane Bensley of the Springville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Camptown Cemetery, Camptown. Visitations were held on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
