Phyllis Jean Hughes was born on 6 October 1919 in Michigan.1 She and John Herbert Bennett were married on 10 February 1940 in Indiana.2 She died on 12 April 2012, at age 92, in Brighton, Livingston, Michigan. She was buried in Grand Lawn Cemetery (Section 26), Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.3

Charlotte Hughes was born in 1920 in Iron River, Iron, Michigan.1,2 She and Robert H. Tiderington were married on 19 April 1941.3 She died on 25 February 2012, at age ~92, in Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan.2 She was buried in Cremated.2

Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Cartwright Care Residence. Age 91 years. Charlotte was born in 1920, in Iron River, Michigan, the daughter of the late Dr. John Henry Hughes and Adah Muriel Cool. She married Robert H. Tiderington, April 19, 1941. They enjoyed a happy marriage for 65 years. As a young woman, Charlotte worked at J. L. Hudson Co. and Manufacturers National Bank in Detroit. She was a Girl Scout in her youth, a Den Mother for her three sons, a Red Cross Volunteer and a regular blood donor. She was a member of the Garden Club and volunteered at the Millet Center. Charlotte loved to bowl, golf, play bridge and dance. She was a Vice President of Fischer Flack Inc. and was past president of Chapter A.S. P. E. O. and a past president of the Saginaw Country Club Ladies Golf Assoc. Surviving are three sons, Robert, James and Thomas (Jan); ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Jean and Lloyd Young. A brother, John Henry Hughes, has predeceased her. A memorial service will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at State St. United Methodist Church, 3617 Mackinaw Rd.
