Raymond D. Dewey, age 84, of Richmond, Va died July 31, 2003. He was born and grew up in Mansfield, PA. He is survived by his wife, Fern R. Dewey; two sons, Raymond Dewey Jr and his wife Pat of Powhatan and Jeffrey A. Dewey and his wife Pat of Mechanicsville; two grandchildren, Mark S. Dewey and his wife Jill of Midlothian and Allison J. Dewey of Mechanicsville. Also surviving a sister, Beatrice L. Wanck and her husband Walt of Naples, Fla. Ray spent five and a half years in the US Air Force in WWII. He retired from Reynolds Metal as a research scientist in 1983. He authored several books on spectroscopy which were used as science class textbooks. He also held several patents for new designs of equipment. Ray was very active in his neighborhood and always ready to help others. He was a member of Bon Air United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at the Huguenot Chapel of Wood Funeral Homes, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Monday, August 4, 2003 at 4 pm with interment in Wellsboro, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bon Air United Methodist Church.

5 SARATOGA SPRINGS and NAPLES, Fla. - Beatrice Dewey Wanck, 86, of Naples, Fla. and Saratoga Springs crossed over gently Aug. 29, 2007 at North Collier Hospital in Naples, Fla., due to lung and heart ailments.
She was born and raised on farms in rural northern Pennsylvania with her brother, Raymond, who predeceased her.
She attended high school in Towanda, Pa., during which time she met the love of her life, Walt, to whom she was married 66 years. They moved to Waynesboro, Pa., and raised their son, Bick, while Walt practiced optometry.
Bea was very active in the community. She was the first female president of a school board in Pennsylvania, during the building of a new high school which is still is use. She organized the school crossing patrol and was president of the board of the YMCA.
Her son went on to college as a varsity swim team member at Penn State, graduated from medical school and now practices psychiatry in Saratoga Springs.
In addition to Walt and Bick, Bea's family includes her cherished granddaughters Kristen and Sarah Tracy-Wanck; her nephew and his wife, Jim and Claudia Wanck, and their sons, Nicholas and Robert, all of Naples, Fla.; her nephew and his wife, Ronald and Pat Wanck and their family of Athens, Pa.; her nephews, Raymond Dewey and Jeff Dewey and their families and their mother, Fern Dewey, all of the Richmond, Va., area; her brother-in-law Chuck McCracken and his son, Jeff and family of Waynesboro, Pa.; her nephew Jack McCracken and his family of Bel Aire, Md., and her nephew Tom Singer and family of Waynesboro, Pa.
Bea will be remembered for her love of her family, friends, community, country and nature.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Naples Memorial Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave. North, Naples, FL, 34108, (239) 597-3101. Services will also be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., (570) 265-2272.

Ennis, Linda Rohrer and her husband, Henry, Howard G. Ennis and his wife, Leslie and Matt E. Ennis and her great -grandchildren, Haley, Devon and Brett Ennis and Frank Rohrer.
A service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 7 pm at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road where friends may call after 6 pm. Burial will be private in Dennison Cemetery, Wilkes -Barre, PA.
