WARREN -- Duane C. Wybourn, 69, of Warren died Friday, March 26, 2004, at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport.

He was born Dec. 1, 1934, in Kent, the son of William and Doris (Schubert) Wybourn. He married Darla Sigafus Dec. 20, 1958, in Lena.

He worked for Burgess Battery for 30 years and then Thermos Manufacturing for 20 years. He was a member of Warren United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He also was a member of the Freshwater Fisherman's Hall of Fame.

He enjoyed to hunt and was a member of the NRA. He also liked to spend time in his garden.

Survivors include one son, Curtis (Sara) Wybourn of Warren; two daughters, Margo Reed of Monroe and Brenda (Phillip) Cook of Lena; eight grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Ethan, Craig, Cortney, Michael, Jeremiah and Caleb; four brothers, Harlan (Joyce) Wybourn and Norman Wybourn, both of Lena, Bob (Rosemary) Wybourn of Monroe, and Darryl (Fay) Wybourn of Waddams Grove; one sister, Dixie (Terry) Althoff of Waddams Grove; and one sister-in-law, Carol Wybourn of Lena.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darla, his parents, and one brother, Bill.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren with the Rev. T.J. Kim of Warren United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Lena Burial Park.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name.

Joyce E. Wybourn, 80, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Freeport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Freeport. Joyce was born on July 28, 1932 in Lena. She was the daughter of Max F. and Grace L. (Ilgen) Paul.
Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Lena High School in Lena. She married Harlan Wybourn on May 29, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lena. Joyce farmed with her husband and worked as an Inspector for 36 years at Micro Switch MFG in Freeport. Her hobbies included painting-by-numbers and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan of Lena; two sisters, Mae Gibson of Florida and Irene (Dean) Amendt of Lena; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joy Lynette Wybourn in 1953; and sister, Lois M. Bonebright on September 24, 2012.
Graveside Services will be held at Lena Burial Park on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Rick Bader will officiate at the graveside service.

Darryl Wybourn and the former Faye Woolcock were wed Sept. 11, 1960, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton. Both are retired.

Their children are Lori (Doug) Robieson, Rhonda (Mike) Phillips, Dana (Robin Montgomery) Wybourn and Darin (Tammy) Wybourn. They have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
