Raymond married circa 1929, Bessie (Last Name Unknown). She was born circa 1910 in New Jersey and died unknown. In 1930, Raymond and Bessie lived at 120 Legion Street in Pompton Lakes, Passaic County, New Jersey. They owned their home which was valued at $12,000 and they also owned a radio. Raymond was a mason and was employed as a contractor. Bessie was 20 years old and was still in school. Raymond Snover Sr., 80, of Kinnelon died Friday. Formerly of Pompton Lakes, he was a retired self-employed general contractor. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Hopper Snover; two sons, Raymond Jr. of Riverdale and Danel of Newfoundland; three daughters, Dorothy Crum and Helen Van Gorder, both of Honesdale, Pa., and Ann Diggles of Kinnelon; 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p..m. Tuesday in the Pompton Reformed Church, Pompton Lakes, with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by the Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale. Friends may visit today and tomorrow from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Snover residence. Donations to the Pompton Reformed Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
