The boarding house was located at 228 Claremont Ave., Montclair, New Jersey. Etta was a great cook, probably because of her experience in the boarding house.
After her marriage to George they lived at 14 Willard Place, Montclair. About 1923 the family moved to Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA.
At the time of her death she was living at 5912 S. Wilton Place, Los Angeles, CA.

Mrs. Detzer was born May 25, 1903 in Sagerstown, Pa. a daughter of the late Charles and Emily Martin Hahn.

Alice had been employed in her earlier years as a cook at Cornell University and for several families in the Genoa area. She was a member of the United Church of Genoa, The Church Optimist Club, and was a member of the Rebekahs Lodge No. 483 of Genoa.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Robert (Marian) Haring of Groton. 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by three sons: Charles, Gerald and Blair Reeves; a daughter Bessie IaCOVelli and her husband Floyd Detzer.

Funeral services will be held Sat. Sept. 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shurtleff Funeral Home of Genoa with the Rev. Russell Clair officiating. Burial will be in Genoa Rural Cemetery. Friends may call Fri. evening 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the United Church of Genoa.
