Norman Jacob Keyser was born on 18 April 1898 in New York City, New York, New York.2,1,3,4 He and Hilda Hopkins were married about 1930.5 He died on 24 October 1985, at age 87, in Bangor, Northampton, Pennsylvania.3,6 He was buried in Buttzville Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Buttzville, Warren, New Jersey.6

Norman J. Keyser, 87, of 256 Washington Blvd., Bangor, formerly of 128 Mansfield St., Belvidere, N.J., died Thursday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Hilda (Hopkins) Keyser.

He worked for the Warren County road department for 22 years, retiring as foreman in 1960. He later worked part time for the MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, for 15 years.

Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Aaron and Mattie (Kinney) Keyser.

He was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Belvidere.

Surviving are a son, Ralph P. of Bangor, with whom he resided; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick St., Belvidere. A calling hour will precede the services.

Hilda Hopkins was born on 10 May 1898 in Franklin, Sussex, New Jersey.1,3 She and Norman Jacob Keyser were married about 1930.1 She died on 22 January 1975, at age 76, in Belvidere, Warren, New Jersey.3,4 She was buried in Buttzville Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Buttzville, Warren, New Jersey.4

Florence E. Kightlinger, 9 Penn Ave., Greenville, formerly of Meadville and Fort Meade, Fla., died at 12:10 p.m. Monday (12-11-00) in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township. She was 82.

Mrs. Kightlinger was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Randolph, N.Y., to Herbert and Ruby Day Mather.

An alumna of Randolph Central High School, she earned a degree in nursing from Syracuse University and retired in 1977 after 10 years from Crawford County Home in Saegertown, Pa., where she was a nursing supervisor. Mrs. Kightlinger was previously a registered nurse at Meadville Medical Center.

She attended Hillside Presbyterian Church, Greenville; and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fort Meade.

Mrs. Kightlinger was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are: her husband, Milford L. Kightlinger, whom she married June 17, 1938; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Jan) Stratiff, Greenville; and Mrs. James (Linda) Shultz, Dallas; a brother, Carl Mather, Houston; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Mather.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Presbyterian Church, 2 N. High St.; or Greenville Area Public Library, 330 Main St., Greenville 16125.
