Bettine Nelson, 75, of Brookmont Health Care Center, died on Tuesday evening at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late William E. Nelson Sr., who died in 1989.

Born on September 19, 1924, in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Edna (Koul) Snover.

She worked for several years at Empire Block in Minisink Hills as a secretary.

She is survived by a son, William E. Nelson Jr. of Waretown, N.J.; a sister, Gladys Hall of Newburgh, N.Y.; and a brother, Jay Snover of East Stroudsburg.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, at 10 a.m. in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations should be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
