Almeda I. Hillpot, 88, formerly of the Lutheran Manor, Bethlehem, West Bethlehem, and Moravian Kings Daughters Home, Bethlehem, died Thursday, Feb. 18, in ManorCare Health Services, Devon, Chester County. She was the wife of the late Paul B. Hillpot.
She and her husband owned and operated grocery stores in Bethlehem and Coopersburg in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Maggie M. (Gross) Frey.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and its Bible class.
Survivors: Daughter, Geraldine H. Mundy of Berwyn, Chester County; son, Robert P. of Bethlehem, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
