Ruth “Tootsie” Kulp of Doylestown died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Wesley Enhanced Living. She lived to be 99 years old. She was the wife of the late Luther “Abie” Kulp. Before moving to Wesley Enhanced Living, she grew up and lived in Plumsteadville. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Clara Ott.

Ruth was devoted to caring for people. She took care of her mother, and later her husband, at home until they passed away. She enjoyed babysitting for many families. Much of her time was devoted to the Plumsteadville Fire Company and their Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth loved helping out with the dinners that were held there. While living at Heritage Towers/ Wesley Enhanced Living, she helped other residents whenever she could. In 2008 she was honored with the Heritage Towers Unsung Hero Volunteer of the Year award. Ruth is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Florence, Grace, Lester, Raymond and Norman.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, Pa. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Armand Reichard, 99, of East Stroudsburg, died on Tuesday, April 30, at Pocono Lutheran Village in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Claire (Frankenfield) Reichard. The couple celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in July of 2001.

Born on June 26, 1903 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harvey and Carrie (Frye) Reichard.

He was a member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.

He was a manager for J.J. Newberry's Department Store in Ticonderoga, N.Y. for many years. He moved to Stroudsburg in the early 1960's and continued to work for Newberry's. Later he was employed at A.B. Wyckoff's in Stroudsburg.

He was a member of Barger Lodge F&AM 325 in Stroudsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Betty Kelsey and her husband, Peter of Roanoake, Va., three grandchildren: Susan Berwick and her husband, Robert of Norwalk, Conn., Jim Kelsey of Hilton, N.Y., and Laura McLeavy and her husband, Gus of Troy, N.H.; five great grandchildren: Jim, Nicole and Matthew Kelsey of Hilton, N.Y., and Scott and Jillian McLeavy of Troy, N.H.; a sister, Isabel Kiesbar of Whitehall; and a niece, Adrianne Kiesbar of Whitehall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Raymond Poortstra officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Union Cemetery, Whitehall.

There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
