3 HARRY GILLMER Harry C. Gillmer, 87, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in Central Montgomery Medical Center, Hatfield Twp. He was the husband of Diana (Scales) Gillmer. Born in Doylestown, he was a son of the late Harry C., Sr. and Carrie (Hillpot) Gillmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Greene Tweed Co., formerly of North Wales and now in Kulpsville, with more than 20 years of service in 1982. He resided with his daughter, Sharon Edwards, and his granddaugher, Tara Sharayko-Pasquarello, who were his caregivers for 20 years. While living with them, his great-grandchildren, Kayla Maria and Anthony David, kept him smiling everyday. In addition to his wife, his is survived by three daughters, Linda, Audrey and Sharon; five sons, John, David, Daniel, Harry, III and George; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his last surviving brother, Elmer Gillmer. Elmer Gillmer‚ of Lansdale‚ died Dec. 5‚ 2005. He was the beloved husband of the late Peggy "Delima" Gillmer; brother of the late Ruth Cressman and her husband‚ Harry‚ the late Walter Gillmer and his wife‚ Helen‚ and the late Harry C. Gillmer‚ Jr.‚ and his wife‚ Maxine.
He is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mr. Gillmer served in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1945 where he obtained the rank of sergeant. He had served in the Pacific Theatre and had earned the Combat Infantry Badge‚ Good Conduct Medal‚ American Defense Service Medal‚ American Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with one Bronze Star.
He lived most of his life in St. Paul‚ MN. He returned to Montgomery County following the death of his wife Peggy.
Mr. Gillmer was an avid reader and loved his game shows‚ especially "Jeopardy". He spent the last year with his grandniece Tara Pasquarello and her children‚ Kayla and Anthony.
Services will be held Monday‚ Dec. 12 at 11 AM from the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home Inc.‚ 80 Stenton Ave.‚ Plymouth Meeting. Relatives and friends may call or gather at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park.

He was the loving father of Tina Cressman and her husband‚ George‚ and Scott Cressman and his wife‚ Anita; and the brother of Edwin Cressman and his wife‚ Joan. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 6 to 8 PM‚ Tuesday evening‚ Sept. 26 at the William R. May Funeral Home‚ Main Street and Elm Avenue‚ North Wales. Interment will be private.
