Lewis Charles Tindell was born on 24 September 1940 in Burlingame, Osage, Kansas.2,1,3 He died on 7 February 2010, at age 69, in Kansas City, Missouri.2,3 He was buried in Judy Cemetery, Garnett, Anderson, Kansas.3

Lewis Tindell, 69, Garnett, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at the K.C. Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett. He was born Sept. 6, 1940, at Burlingame, the son of Roy and Carol (Oeser) Tindell.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Mary Beth Scott in May of 1963. They divorced. He married Mary Ann Stevens (Morey) Aug. 17, 1994, in Garnett. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Brent Tindell, Garnett, Jeff Tindell, Basehor, Xavier Stevens, Santa Monica, California; one daughter, Xanthippe Wedel, Lawrence; three sisters, June Judy, Mountain Home, Ark., Rose Dennison, Garnett, and Carrie Rulon, Littleton, Colo.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah May Sisco.

The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

MESA, Ariz. - Annebeth Louise Thorne, 85, passed away on Nov. 29, 2007, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born April 13, 1922, in Barton County.
Mrs. Thorne was a member of the Mesa First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her loving children, Judy A. and Duke Meiley, Connie and Joe Torres and Gary M. and Margie Thorne; 10 grandchildren, Steven Meiley, Bryan and Tiffany Meiley, Janene and U.S. Army Col. Mike Howitz, Jenifer Meiley, Mary Thorne, Marci and Corey Atkison, Bethany and U.S. Army Capt. Randay Tau, Jonathan and Christina Torres, Malina Torres and Sharonne Torres; nine great-grandchildren, Kaylene, Mike, Mathew, McKenzie, Kacey, Brisa, Ethan, Abigail and Brianna; and a brother, Dean Oeser in California.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Inurnment will be in the Hoisington Cemetery.

MESA, Ariz. - Marvin E. Thorne, 85, died March 8 at Mesa, Ariz. He was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Barton County, the son of David and Ida Ohlemeier Thorne. He married Anna Beth Oeser on Aug. 25, 1942, at Beaver. He was a retired schoolteacher. He moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1960, from Great Bend. Thorne was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Gary Thorne, M.D., of Claarston, Wash.; two daughters, Judy Meiley and Connie Torres, both of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Alfred Thorne of Hoisington; three sisters, Evadine Seyfert of Claflin, Gladys Cary of Lakewood, Colo., and Norma Jean Thornbrugh of Union City, Calif.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Pearl Spruill, and one stepsister, Jennie Shireman. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hoisington Cemetery with Joe Torres officiating.
