Herman Bishop, 60, of Fountainville, died Saturday in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.

He was the husband of Ida Mae (Myers) Bishop.

A dairy farmer for 36 years, Bishop was a member of the Lehigh Valley Cooperative Farmers Association.

Born in Plumstead Township, a son of the late Walter H. and Phoebe (Swartz) Bishop, he was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Dublin.

Surviving with his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hardy of Chalfont, Mrs. Mary Jane Arenz of Bedminster, Mrs. Martha Buckman of Perkasie and Joyce Mae of Fountainville, all Bucks County; three sons. William of Blooming Glen and Herman and Walter, both of Fountainville, both Bucks County; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Detweiler and Mrs. Lucy Walton, both of Doylestown; two brothers, George of Doylestown and Richard of Philadelphia, and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. in St. Luke's Church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Monday and 1-2 Tuesday in the church. Arrangements are being made by the John Haney Fox Funeral Home, 152 South Main St., Dublin.

Warren Edward Buckman, Jr., was a Dairy-Crop Farmer.1 He was awarded a BS-Agromomy.1 He was educated DelVal University.1 Warren E. Buckman, Jr., 81, longtime resident of Bedminster Twp., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

He and his beloved wife Lois (Bishop) Buckman celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in May.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a son of the late Dorothy (Davison) and Warren E. Buckman, Sr.

He was a self-employed dairy and crop farmer for many years, having earned his B.S. in Agronomy from DelVal University in 1959. He received the Pennridge Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1968. Always a dairy farmer at heart throughout his life, he sold his last three heifers only 1-1/2 months ago.

Mr. Buckman was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Bedminster Twp. A collector of Winross model trucks and Ertl farm toys, he collected many other eclectic items. He was a lifetime member of the National Holstein Association and a member of the PA and Bucks County Holstein Clubs, as well as the Sellersville Moose. His family was his greatest joy in life, and enjoyed joy rides to Lancaster County with them, always including a stop at Lapp Valley Farms for his favorite ice cream.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Warren E. Buckman, III and his companion Deborah Froshour of Lansdale, Janice Hendricks and her husband James of Williamstown, NJ, Denise Anders and her husband Daryl of Perkasie, Sandi Steich and her husband David of Ottsville, Darlene Hardy and her companion Mike Golden of Perkasie, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Buckman and son-in-law, Tom Hardy.

Visitation to greet the family will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 PM in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
