3 WHITE -LUCILE ELLEN WHITE DICAMPLI, age 89, (SRGP 26537) of The Green Home in Wellsboro, Pa., died on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. From the time of her birth on Nov. 22, 1915, she lived on the family farm in Roseville, Pa., with her parents Fritz and Pearle Benson White. After her 1977 marriage to Fred DiCampli, the new couple resided in Mansfield, Pa. She was a descendant of early Tioga County, Pa., settlers of the Benson, James, Watkins and Wood families, and Scottish immigrants Adda Ball and Dr. Francis White. Dr. White was a longtime physician in Roseville and a Civil War veteran who lived to the age of 106. Educated in Roseville, Troy and Mansfield, she taught elementary school in the 1940’s in Mosherville, Pa. A member of Covington Baptist Church she was a devoted correspondent to distant friends and greatly enjoyed socializing, especially at meetings of the Birthday Club. Lucile is predeceased by her husband, Fred DiCampli. She is survived by stepdaughters, Nicoletta Bellapigna, Gloria Torchia, Marie Zampitella, Frances Smith, Edith Kareszi and step-daughter-in-law, Janice Harmer, their children, grandchildren and many loving cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to call at the Scureman Funeral Home, 130 South Main St., Mansfield, Pa., on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 2 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Pereira officiating.
