Doris (Dody) Blanchard was born on 16 December 1916 in Ringwood, Passaic, New Jersey.2,1 She died on 19 September 2003, at age 86, in Pompano Beach, Broward, Florida.2 She was buried in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, Monroe, Pennsylvania.1

Pompano Beach, FL—Doris Blanchard Snover of Florida and formerly of Dover, died Friday, September 19, 2003 in The Court at Palm Air Health Center, Florida. She was 86.

She was born on December 16, 1916 in Ringwood, New Jersey, daughter of the late Allan and Sarah (MacDonald) Blanchard. After spending her early childhood in Erie, PA, she spent seven years at the Masonic Home Orphanage of Burlington County, NJ. She has fond memories of her life there and has kept in touch over the years with many of the "Home Kids".

Mrs. Snover was a registered nurse with the Burlington County Hospital in New Jersey.

She was a member of the Eastern Star for 25 years and the AARP.

Mrs. Snover is predeceased by her husband Robert Allen Snover on July 16, 1996 and six siblings.

She is survived by a daughter Gwendolyn S. Leys and her husband Richard of Pompano Beach, FL, two sons Allen Frank Snover and his wife Nikole of Galena, MD, and Robert Blanchard Snover of Felton, a brother Ted Blanchard of Milwaukee, Oregon, a granddaughter Holly C. Scott of Pennsburg, PA, a great granddaughter Steffanie S. Scott, and a great great granddaughter Jasmine S. Ryer.

Friends may call Friday evening 7 to 9:00 p.m. Friday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Burial will be at the family's convenience in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA.
