Donald E. Spier, 44, of Bedminster Township, Bucks County, died Friday, Oct. 3, in his home. He was the husband of Mary A. (Litsch) Spier. They were married for 19 years last October.
A member of the American Association of Lab Animal Science, he was an animal caretaker for the Buckshire Corp., Perkasie, for eight years. Previously, he was employed by the Farm Bureau of Souderton for 15 years. He also worked part time for Lampire Biological Labs, Ottsville, Bucks County, for 17 years.

Born in Doylestown, he was a son of Bertha V. (Strouse) Spier of Quakertown and the late Joseph Spier.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville.
He was a past vice president of the Plumsteadville Lions Club.
Survivors: Wife and mother; daughter, Katherine H., and sons, Donald J. and Daniel E., all at home; brothers, Joseph R. of Albuquerque, N.M., Kenneth W. of Ambler and James R. of Ottsville; sisters, Shirley A. Clark of Grand View Texas, Mary A., wife of Ross A. Painter of Perkasie, and Linda L., wife of Emerson S. Wismer of Riegelsville, nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch St., Perkasie. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
