Jennie Riegel, 79, wife of the late William H. Riegel Jr. of Dublin Pa., died July 24, 2008, in the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown.
Services: Tuesday, 3 p.m. Peace Lutheran Church, 100 Old Bethlehem Rd., Perkasie, Call 1:30-3 p.m. in the church. Arrangements by Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch St., Perkasie.
JENNIE RIEGEL
Jennie Riegel, 79, of Dublin, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was the widow of the late William H. Riegel Jr. who died in 1994.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Feliks and Yadwiga (Kozik) Tluszcz.
She was a 1947 graduate of Doylestown High School, Doylestown.
Mrs. Riegel was employed as a tile sorter for the former American Olean Tile Co., Lansdale for over 30 years until her retirement. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress for the former Goldie's Diner, Dublin, during the 1950s.
Mrs. Riegel was a member of the Pennridge Senior Center, Silverdale. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle, Lansdale.
She was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagersville where she served on the Church Altar Guild. An avid gardener, she also planted and tended to the flower gardens at the church.
Mrs. Riegel volunteered for the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company and its Ladies Auxiliary, baking and working at its annual carnival.
She especially enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips offered by the Pennridge Senior Center.
She is survived by three sisters-in-law: Gloria Shannon of Perkasie; Shirley Riegel of Quakertown, and Ruth Beer, and her husband William of Perkasie, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Tluszcz.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 29 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie. Interment was in Kellers Church Cemetery, Kellers Church.
