Alma I. Trauch, 83, of Bedminster, Bucks County, died Saturday in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. She was the wife of the late Webster S. Trauch.

She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Lemmon Pharmaceutical Co., West Rockhill Township, from 1956 until retiring in 1972. Before that, she and her husband owned and operated an ice cream and magazine store in Perkasie from 1948-51. She was also a bookkeeper for the former Fretz & Son Clothing Factory, Bedminster, from 1936-48.

She was a graduate of the Lansdale School of Business.

Born in Bedminster Township, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer K. and Minerva (Roth) Fretz.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kellers Church, where she taught Sunday School for 60 years. She was also a Luther League adviser; leader of the Children of the Church; past president of the Lutheran Church Women's group, and a member of many committees.

She was Guardian of the Exchequer and Guardian of Records for the Ladies of the Golden Eagle, Kellers Church; long-term volunteer for Pennridge Meals on Wheels, and treasurer of the Pennridge Fish Organization for 14 years.

She was a recipient of the Pennsylvania Voters Hall of Fame certificate.

He was a Realtor for ERA Riegel Realty, Quakertown, for 23 years.

Born in Abington, Montgomery County, he was a son of S. Alverta (Snyder) Riegel of Quakertown and the late William H. Riegel Sr.

He was a member and a former councilman of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie. He was a board member of Kellers Church Cemetery Corp.

Survivors: Wife and mother; brother, Clyde M. of Quakertown; sister, Gloria E., wife of Robert R. Shannon, and a foster sister, Ruth, wife of William Beer Jr., both of Perkasie.

Jennie Riegel, 79, of Dublin, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was the widow of the late William H. Riegel Jr. who died in 1994.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Feliks and Yadwiga (Kozik) Tluszcz.
She was a 1947 graduate of Doylestown High School, Doylestown.
Mrs. Riegel was employed as a tile sorter for the former American Olean Tile Co., Lansdale for over 30 years until her retirement. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress for the former Goldie's Diner, Dublin, during the 1950s.
Mrs. Riegel was a member of the Pennridge Senior Center, Silverdale. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle, Lansdale.
She was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagersville where she served on the Church Altar Guild. An avid gardener, she also planted and tended to the flower gardens at the church.
Mrs. Riegel volunteered for the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company and its Ladies Auxiliary, baking and working at its annual carnival.
She especially enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips offered by the Pennridge Senior Center.
She is survived by three sisters-in-law: Gloria Shannon of Perkasie; Shirley Riegel of Quakertown, and Ruth Beer, and her husband William of Perkasie, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Tluszcz.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 29 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie. Interment was in Kellers Church Cemetery, Kellers Church.

Clyde M. Riegel, 70, of Quakertown, died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in his home. He was the loving husband of Shirley A. (Cassel) Riegel. They were married 53 years on August 14, 2005. Born in Abington, he was the loving son of the late William H. and Alberta (Snyder) Riegel. He was a Realtor for Coldwell Banker, Quakertown. Prior to that, he owned and operated Riegel Real Estate for 42 years. He was a member of Bucks County, Pennsylvania and National Board of Realtors. He was a Boy Scout leader for several troops and he was a member of the former Kiwanis Club, Quakertown, where he served as president. He was on the former Quakertown Hospital Authority Board and secretary of Quakertown Union Cemetery Association. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Quakertown, where he served on its council.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, he was the loving father to Jo Ann, wife of Ronald L. Grate, of Jim Thorpe; two sons, Barry C. of Jim Thorpe and John S. and his wife, Annette, of Sellersville. He was the loving grandfather of Jason and his wife, Missey, Scott, Justin, Alyssa; loving great-grandfather of Alyiah. He is also survived by two sisters, Gloria, wife of Robert Shannon, of Perkasie and Ruth, wife of William Beer, of Perkasie; his mother-in-law, Irene Cassel of Quakertown; sister-in-law, Jennie Riegel of Dublin and Pauline M. Cassel of Milford Township. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Debra Lou, his brother, William H. Riegel Jr., and father-in-law, Paul Cassel.

Services: will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2005 in First United Church of Christ, Fourth and Park Avenue, Quakertown. Call 9-11 a.m. in the church.

Interment will be in Quakertown Union Cemetery. The C.R. Strunk Funeral Home Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), Quakertown, is in charge of the arrangements.

She was the wife of William H. Beer. The couple has been married 69 years until his passing on November 2, 2015.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Edwin and Matilda (Weiss) Bumm. Mrs. Beer grew up in Bedminster area and was raised by William and Alverta Riegel. A 1940 graduate of Lansdale High School, she went on to attend the Lansdale School of Business.

Mrs. Beer was a homemaker. She also worked as the bookkeeper at the Ott and Beer Fruit Farm, Bedminster, for 22 years and as a seamstress at the Bedminster and Dublin Pants Factories.

She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Keller’s Church, PA, where she taught Sunday School for over 10 years and was active in the Joy group.

She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, gardening, baking and her cats.

She is survived by three children, Dennis L. Beer and his wife Cathy, of Perkasie, PA, Barbara A. Place and her husband James, of Quakertown, PA and Cheryl L. Bergey and her husband James, of Pennsdale, PA; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and a brother, Leonard Bumm , of Blue Ball, PA. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Beer, three brothers, William, Edwin and Stanley Bumm and two sisters, Katherine Schaudt and Evelyn Gill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA where friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Keller’s Church Cemetery.
