Snyder was a chef at the former Crystal Restaurant, Reading, for 40 years before retiring in 1979.

Born in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Raymond and Alice (Trauger) Snyder.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Nancy L., wife of James Bentz of Wyomissing, Berks County; brother Clyde of Slatington; sister, Thelma Conrad of Emmaus; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
