Harold O. "Mose" Winkler, 61, of Stonegate Road, Stonegate Village, Richland Township, formerly of West Covina, Calif., died Saturday, Aug. 2, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was stuck by a vehicle Friday while crossing Stonegate Road. He was the husband of Sherri (Breiner) Winkler.

He was a hydraulic mechanic for MPS, Ontario, Calif., for three years before retiring in 1984. Previously, he worked for Winkler Hydraulics, Del Monte, Calif., 13 years and Asplundh Inc., Chalfont, for more than 25 years.

Born in Milford Square, he was a son of the late Horace and Elva (Heavener) Winkler. He was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Lisa, wife of Eric Clark of Quakertown, and Nicole, wife of Kevin Madigan of Pinellas Park, Fla.; stepsons, Richard Gerstenberg of Covina, Calif., Greg Steich of Pennsburg and John Allen Steich in Florida; brothers, Stanley of Quakertown, Horace Jr. of Covina and David of Emmett, Idaho; sisters, Jeanette Yerkes of Sellersville, Mary, wife of Herbert V. Hess of Salome, Ariz., Patricia, wife of Douglas Gerhart of Tasewell, Tenn., Artis, wife of Donald Wolfinger of Coopersburg, and Audrey, wife of Michael Brady of Northampton, and six grandchildren.

Horace Arthur Winkler Jr., known to everyone who loved him as Snib, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 6:58 a.m. Horace was born on November 10, 1940 in Milford Square, Bucks County, Pennsylvania to Horace Arthur Winkler Sr. (1904-1959) of Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Elva Orvetta (Heavener) Winkler (1908-1978) of Montgomeryville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He married Ellen Lee (Bowers) Winkler (1945- ) of Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, at age 21 on January 6, 1962, and together had three sons and one daughter.

Mr. Winkler, of Emmett, Idaho, was born in Quakertown, PA and moved to California in 1968. He worked for Asplundh for years, but in the late 1970s, he founded Winkler Hydraulics with late brothers Horace and Harold. He retired in Idaho.

He liked darts, to hunt and fish, prospecting for gold, ATCs, and spending time with family.

Survived by wife, Murlene Ruby Spicer; five children, Scott, Ronald, Lisa, Dennis and April; one brother; four sisters; and 17 grandchildren.

Born in Sellersville he was the son of Stanley A. and Adele G. (Yerkes) Winkler of Quakertown. He worked for Penn Builders of Quakertown. Dean was an avid sports fan and was active with his sons in the Upper Perk Youth Baseball Association. Dean was also looking forward to restoring his 67 Chevelle..
