Grace Marie Witter was born on 27 February 1932 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.2 She and Stanley Ernest Rufe were married on 30 July 1954 in Doylestown, Bucks, Pennsylvania.2 She died on 13 August 2010, at age 78, in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.2,1 She was buried on 19 September 2010 in Doylestown Cemetery (M2 60), Doylestown, Bucks, Pennsylvania.2

Grace M. Rufe, 78, of Carlisle died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 28, 1932, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Annie Garman Witter.

She was the widow of Stanley E. Rufe.

She had been employed at the former McCoy Electronics, Mt. Holly Springs, and then was involved with her husband in operating Stan's Beverage, Carlisle.

She and her husband had attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Carlisle.

Mrs. Rufe was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Bear and Judy Witter.

Surviving are six sisters, Mary Barrick of Boiling Springs, Alma Quigley of Carlisle, Betty Nelson of Grand Junction, Colo., Esther Darnell of West Virginia, Martha Neff and Virginia Dewalt, both of Carlisle; three brothers, Charles Witter of Carlisle, Ray Witter of Texas and Merle Witter of Mechanicsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs, with the Rev. Scott Hocker officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Ronal Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling arrangements.
