David C. Clinesmith, age 68, a long time resident of Shay Lake, passed away suddenly Friday, September 10, 2011 at his home in Dayton Township.

He was born January 11, 1943 in Marlette, the son of D.C. & Rose (Rakoczy) Clinesmith.

He married Arlene Grow March 7, 1964 in Kingston.

David enjoyed farming, watching the Detroit Tigers and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene of Cass City; his mother, Rose Clinesmith of Silverwood; three sons, Tim Clinesmith of Silverwood, Christopher (Stephanie) Clinesmith of Clinton Twp., Kevin (Lisa) Clinesmith of Arlington, VA; one daughter, Deborah Clinesmith of Cass City, one brother, Don (Onna) Clinesmith of Vassar; and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Ketan, Courtney, Kailey, Cody, Gunnar & Stefanee.

He was preceded in death by his father, D.C. Clinesmith.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette, with Rev. Daniel Bowman officiating.

Memorials my be donated to the family.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette.

Timothy D. Clinesmith, age 49 of Silverwood, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 27, 2015 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Clinesmith lived in Silverwood the passed 24 years and was previously from the Kingston area. He was born May 24, 1965 in Cass City, Michigan son to David and Arlene (Grow) Clinesmith. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1983 and went on to Ferris State University and Delta College to received his Associates Degree. Mr. Clinesmith worked for Crystal Employment Services in Troy, Michigan. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Tim enjoyed driving his 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS-SS, working on cars, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by: Brittany Clinesmith and Eric Newsome (daughter) of Lake Orion, Courtney Clinesmith (daughter) of Saginaw, Kailey Clinesmith (daughter) of Silverwood, Arlene Clinesmith (mother) of Kingston, Christopher and Stephanie Clinesmith (brother) of Clinton Twp., Kevin Clinesmith (brother) of Washington D.C., Deborah Clinesmith (sister) of Cass City, granddaughter LaNara Newsome, special friend Cherie, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Best friend, his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his father, David C. Clinesmith. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with Pastor Matt Corlew officiating. Burial will be in the West Burlington Cemetery in Silverwood, Michigan. Memorials may be donated to the family. Visitation will be held on Friday 1pm to 8pm and Saturday 12pm to 1pm at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette.
