Harold L. Watters, 74, a resident of Hardwick Township for most of his life, died Oct. 31, 2007 at the Forest Manor Health Care Center in Frelinghuysen Township.

Born in Portland, Pa., he was a son of the late Ivory L. and Anna Stires Watters.

Mr. Watters was superintendent and manager of the Princeton-Blairstown Center in Hardwick Township, retiring in 1999. He served on the Hardwick Township Board of Education.

A member of the First United Methodist Church of Blairstown, Mr. Watters was in the Air Force from 1951-55 and the Air Force Reserve from 1955-59.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Dempsey Watters; a daughter, Karen of Hardwick Township; a son, Darin, and a sister, Doris Easton, both of Blairstown; a brother, Larry of Brodheadsville, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 5 at the Newbaker Funeral Home in Blairstown. Interment was in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown.

Marilyn Watters, 77, of Hardwick Twp., NJ. died March 29, 2010 in Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ. Born: to the late Mark and Gertrude Dempsey in Blairstown, NJ. Personal: She was a homemaker and a life long resident of the Hardwick/Blairstown area. Memberships: Mrs. Watters was a member of the Blairstown First United Methodist Church. Survivors: She was survived by her son, Darin Watters of Blairstown; and a daughter, Karen Watters of Hardwick Twp; brother, James Dempsey of Hackettstown; also three grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler and Caitlin Watters. Mrs. Watters was predeceased by her husband, Harold L Watters, in 2007 also by a brother Mark Dempsey and a sister Shirley Walker. Services: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 RT 94, Blairstown, NJ. Visitation on Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown.
