2 Leslie E. Swank, 62, Noblesville, died Saturday, Sept. 22, at his home.
He was born June 22, 1928,in Fort Wayne, the son of Leslie and Frances (Burwell) Swank. He had been a resident of Hamilton County since 1964.
Mr. Swank was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed by Transamerican Insurance Co. of Columbus, Ohio, for the past 11 years. He was a member of the Noblesville Elks Lodge, past master of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge No. 57 F &AM, a charter member of the Noblesville Miller Backers, a member of the First Christian Church of Noblesville, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and was named a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star in 1974.
He was also a former scout master and was active in Little League baseball coaching,
He is survived by his wife, Gail M. (Alexander) Swank of Noblesville; three sons, Kevin J, Swank of Evansville, Steven Swank of Noblesville, and Leslie (Bud) Swank of Indianapols; two daughters, Teri Smith of Alexandria, and Lori Hicks of Shelbyville; three sisters, Kathryne Froebe, Barbara Engle and Sandra Pfelffer, all of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Gerald Swank of Hamilton, and James Swank of Chicago, Ill; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p,.m. Wednesday at Randall & Roberts Logan Street Chapel, Noblesville. Dr. James A Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
There will ba a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at t he funeral home.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
