Arlene Margaret Deremer was born on 8 December 1927 in Franklin, Sussex, New Jersey. She and
Theodore (Ted) Lawrence Brewer, Jr., were married in September 1951 in Lopatcong Township, Warren, New Jersey.
1 She died on 5 May 2018, at age 90, in Sarasota, Manatee, Florida. She was buried on 13 May 2018 in Sarasto National Cemetery (Section 1, Site 981), Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida.
2 Arlene Margaret Deremer was educated Churchman's Business School.
3 She was an Executive Secretary- Dixie Cup Company. Arlene was called home to be with God the Father on May 5, 2018. She was cared for in her final days at Fountains of Hope and Tidewell Hospice and the family thanks the staff of both organizations.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mark and Esther Deremer of Phillipsburg, New Jersey and her sister Elizabeth Hanisek, also of Phillipsburg. The one love of her life, her Husband of 52 years, Theodore "Ted" Brewer, has already greeted her upon her arrival in Heaven.
Arlene was a 1945 graduate of Phillipsburg High School (Go Stateliners!) and a 1947 graduate of Churchman's Business School. She worked as an Executive Secretary for the Dixie Cup Company and after marriage became the best wife, mother and grandmother ever.
She served as a Deacon for Presbyterian Church of the Palms, helped with the Deacons' Food Pantry and tutored many children at the church's After School Program.
Arlene loved to read, care for her dogs, spend time with her children and grandchildren and fall asleep watching television. She tirelessly cared for her mother, father and husband during their final days. She was loved from the day she was born to the day she died and will be lovingly remembered forever.
She is survived by her children: son Mark (Cynthia), daughter Kim, daughter Laurie (Gary) and son Eric (Darcy) as well as two grandchildren: Ashley Elizabeth Holland and Theodore "Tab" Brewer.
Services will be held in The Chapel at Presbyterian Church of the Palms on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with internment to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. where she will be laid to rest side-by-side with her beloved Ted.
