People who knew MaryLou were touched and loved by her. She cherished eveything about life, and was loved by family and friends. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking, and loved being with her grandchildren.

She also enjoyed cruises and Aruba with her husband, William.

She survived by her husband, William L. Knowles, at home; her son, Jason R. Knowles of Alexandria, Va.; her daughter Heather M. Cammarata of Ledgewood; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Knowles of Newton; a stepdaughter Jillian Knowles; a brother, Theodore J. Clark of Boone, N. C.; a brother, Donald L Clark of Stroudsburg, Pa.; amd five grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine, Ellie, Carolne and Jack.

Visitation on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, from 1-2 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joan Knechel Cancer Foundation, 651 Willow Grove St., Hackettstown, N.J., 07840.

Interment is private.

Marie K. Hughes, 69, of Nazareth, died Monday in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald J. Hughes, at home. They had celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary last July.
Born June 22, 1929 in Blairstown, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Belle (Christman) Hamilton.
She was of the Methodist Faith.
She was a graduate of Portland High School and East Stroudsburg Normal School and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
She worked as a seamstress for various blouse mills in the Slate Belt and Nazareth area before retiring.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Dale Hughes of Upper Nazareth Twp. and David Hughes of Nazareth; 1 sister, Betty Brands of Columbia, N.J.; and 5 grandchildren. 1 sister, Doris Hamilton, died earlier.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, Johnsonville. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Portland, Pa.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home.
