Thomas B. Collette, 59,of DeKalb, Ill., died Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1954, in Kankakee, Ill., the son of Beaucie and Dorothy (Trost) Collette.

Thomas was a 1972 graduate of Centra High School in Clifton, Ill. He married Victoria "Susie" Moore. He had various jobs throughout his life. He worked with electronics, was a limo driver, made ponds and worked for a vending company. Thomas lived in the DeKalb community since 1997, moving here from Kankakee.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Victoria "Susie" of DeKalb; four sons, Aaron Collette of San Diego, Calif., James Collette of DeKalb, David (Gabi) Collette of Fort Knox, Ky., and Jon (Jessica) Collette of Geneva, Ill.; two brothers, Pete (Ann) Collette of Solon, Iowa, and Mark (Bow) Collette of Fredericksburg, Va.; four sisters, Barbara (Bob) Buehler of Naples, Fla., JoAnne Coriell of Pontiac, Ill., Elizabeth (Lynn) LaMie of Kankakee and Patricia Collette of Pontiac; and step-grandchildren, Raul Garcia of Las Vegas, Isabel Aguilar of San Antonio and Trisha Garcia of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beaucie and Dorothy.

As were his wishes, no formal funeral services will take place at this time. Thomas will be cremated at Finch Crematory.
