Peter Bertram Trost was born on 18 May 1893 in Livingston, Madison, Illinois.3 He and Florence Martha Booth were married on 22 December 1914 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.2 He died on 28 October 1975, at age 82, in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.3 He was buried in Saint Johns Cemetery, Cullom, Livingston, Illinois.3
Peter Bertram Trost was a Farmer.4 Peter B. Trost, 82, of Kankakee, formerly of Cullom, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee, following emergency surgery.

A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Shurch. Kankakee, the Rev. Edward Heitzan officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Cullom.

Mr. Trost was born May 18, 1893,near Cullom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Trost. He married Florence Booth, Dec. 22, 1914. She died Feb. 22, 1975.

Surviving are two sons, Bertram, Kankakee; Theodore, Clifton; two daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Sainton and Mrs. Dorothy Collette, both of Kankakee; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Trost moved from Cullom to Kankakee 12 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1960 he owned and operated Trost Hardware in Cullom and also farmed in the area.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Kankakee, the Holy Name Society and the Kankakee Elks Lodge.

Cecilia Saindon, 95, of Bradley, passed away Sunday (March 13, 2011) at Bradley Royale Health Care Center. A gathering for family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais Chapel. A celebration of Cecilia's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee. Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to the family wishes. Mrs. Saindon was a homemaker. She was born Dec. 2, 1915, in Cullom, the daughter of Peter and Florence Trost Booth. Her husband, Mose Saindon, passed away in 1985. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the CCW and the Rosary Group. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Leland and Barbara Saindon, of Colorado, Vincent and Donna Saindon, of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Theresa Saindon, of California; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Jean Trost, of Clifton; and many nieces and nephews. US Air Force-WWII.3 Theodore (Ted) J. Trost was an Electrician- General Foods/ Farmer.3 Theodore J. Trost, 88, of Clifton passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in rural Clifton.

Ted was born July 30, 1926 in Kankakee, the son of Peter B. and Florence Booth Trost and they preceded him in death in addition to one brother, Bertram; two sisters, Cecilia Saindon and Dorothy Collette; and one grandson, Spencer Giles. He married Imogene “Jean” Hires on April 15, 1950 in Beaverville and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Victoria (Stanford) Giles of Galveston, IN and Kelly (Richard) Caliendo of Glen Ellyn; two sons, James (Margaret) Trost of Fairbury and Daniel (Nancy) Trost of Westfield, IN; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mr. Trost served in the Air Force during WWII in the Aleutian Islands as an electrician and mechanic on airplanes. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Clifton and Clifton VFW. He was an electrician at General Foods in Kankakee for 27 years and farmed in the Martinton and Cullom areas for many years. Ted was a former Village Trustee for six years in Clifton and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Clifton. Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery at Clifton.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with a prayer service being held at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Clifton Food Pantry.

Visitation for Helen B. Trost, 91, a lifetime resident of the Kankakee area, will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais Chapel. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kankakee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church would be appreciated. She passed away Saturday (July 2, 2011) in Barrington. Helen was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Kankakee, the daughter of James and Anna Wilson. She married Bertram P. Trost Aug. 30, 1941, and prior to their marriage, she was an executive secretary to Romy Hammes of Hammes Ford Garage. Shortly after their marriage, she and Bert started the Bert Trost Construction Company, of which she served as the office manager. Helen and Bert were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee, where she served on the Altar and Rosary Society and spent many years as a volunteer for St. Mary's Auxiliary. She enjoyed boating and waterskiing, playing bridge, gardening, wintering in Florida, and was most fond of spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Paul B. (Judy) Trost, of Golden, Colo., Rita J. (Jim) Hodge, of Grayslake, Stephen A. (Jennifer) Trost, of Tucson, Ariz., and Joyce A. Trost, of Barrington; her grandchildren, Bryant (Amy) Trost, Keri (Kenneth) Reiner, Lisa Mitchell, Brett Hodge, Ashley (John) Demakis, Drew (Christy) Trost, Michael Trost and Kyle (Christine) Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Victor Trost, Makenna Reiner, Brayden Reiner, Madelyn Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Annabelle Demakis, Aubrey Trost and Allison Miller.
