Biography

James Miles Omick, Jr., was born on 30 July 1928 in Trenton, Burlington, New Jersey.2,3 He and Gladys M. Singley were married in June 1953 in East Amwelll Township, Hunterdon, New Jersey.1 He died on 8 February 1998, at age 69, in Raritan, Hunterdon, New Jersey.2 He was buried in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes, Hunterdon, New Jersey.2
James M. Omick, 69, died Sunday (Feb. 8, 1998) at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township.

Born in Trenton, he lived in East Amwell Township all of his life.

Mr. Omick was a lineman with Jersy Central Power & Light in Flemington, retiring in 1984.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a member of the Amwell Valley Exempt Fireman's Association in Ringoes.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Singley Omick, and several cousins.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
