Sandra J.Stanson, age 68, of Laporte, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Laporte Hospital. She was born December 28, 1939 in Gary to Matthew A. and Pauline (Moses) Miller. Sandra had been a home health caregiver for many years, and she enjoyed watching Christian TV. On October 7, 1995 at New Life Christian Assembly in Rolling Prairie she married William Stanson, who preceded her in death June 22, 2006.

Survivors include four children: Michael Findley (Debbie) Findley of Rolling Prairie, Kathryn (John) Solley of Valparaiso, Charles (Jennifer) Findley of Laporte, and Rebecca (Ed) Christy of Valparaiso; one sister, Nancy (Gordon) Stamper of Munster; nephew, Gordon Lee Stamper; four half brothers; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, with burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 1:00-5:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Heart and Lung Association. moellerfuneralhome.com.
