Winifred E. "Betty" (Ebersole) Dice Bertolina, 82, of Claridge, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at home. She was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Enola, a daughter of the late Wilbur L. and Winifred P. (Arbegast) Ebersole. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Irwin, where she served as a financial secretary for six years and was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Irwin, Chapter No. 400. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of more than 56 years, Harvey P. Dice; brother, Samuel Ebersole; and an infant brother and sister. She is survived by her second husband of more than four years, Allyn J. Bertolina; daughters, Susan M. (Bill) Opaska, of Green Tree, Cynthia E. (Alan) Painter, of Irwin, and Kathleen M. (Gary) Wagner, of Johnstown; son, Robert D. Dice and ex-wife, Molly Dice, of Fulton, Md.; stepchildren, Deborah L. McGarven, of Greensburg, Renee E. (Ross) Jensen, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Allyn J. (Michelle) Bertolina Jr., of Polk; 17 grandchildren ; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, David K. (Daryl) Ebersole, of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Lenore Ebersole; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice and the Senior Helpers for their loving care. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, in First United Methodist Church, Irwin, with her pastor, the Rev. David S. Lake, officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to her church.
