Biography

Mary Ann Moyer was born on 7 July 1935 in Pennsylvania.2,3 She died on 27 January 2019, at age 83.1
Mary Ann Moyer was a Nurse/ Owner Merle Norman Cosmetics, Closter, NJ.1 She was educated Holy Name Hospital Nursing School.1 Maryann (Moyer) Sheeler of Wellesley, MA (formerly of Norwood, NJ) passed away peacefully at 83 years old on January 27, 2019 with her family nearby.

She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Charles (Chuck) F. Sheeler. She leaves behind her five children and their spouses, Lisa Sheeler and her husband John Duffy of Wellsley, Lynda Sheeler and her husband Damian Laugher of Tenafly, NJ, Kristin Sheeler and her husband Jim Brinnen of NY, NY, Karen Stein and her husband Michael Stein of Wilmington, DE, and David Sheeler and his wife Crystal Sheeler of JAcksonville, FL. She also leaves her nine grandchildren and many extended family members.

She was raised in Easton, PA with her sisters Betsy (Moyer) Mancino and Carol Ann Mignano and late brother Henry O. Moyer. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung, NJ and Holy Name Hospital Nursing School in Teaceck, NJ. She then worked as a registered nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the ophthalmology department until she started a family. In the early 1980s, Maryann became owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics in Closter, NJ where she spent many years as a beauty consultant to women all over Bergen County. She loved vacationing on Long Beach Island each summer with her extended family and was an avid tennis player. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the world visiting Europe, the Mediterranean and China with close friends.

She loved life, laughed hard and long and her energy filled the room. She will be missed by all whose life she touched.

Services were held in Wellesley, MA at Henry Burke Funeral Home and Saint John the Evangelist Church on January 30,2019. A memorial will be held in New Jersey in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Name Medical Center Foundation through www.holyname.org.
