Raleigh H. Barnes, 75, of Hampton Township, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007. He was born June 27, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Raleigh H. Barnes Sr. and Miriam Moyer. He was a sales engineer and owner/operator of Envirotherm Co. on Grant Avenue in Millvale for 25 years. The company closed in 2004 after the flood devastation in Millvale. He graduated from Case Institute of Technology (Case Western University), Ohio, as did his father and brother, and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and member of Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, Hampton Township. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Harriett Freedline Barnes; four children, Linda L. (Dennis) Stetz, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Keith R. (Kimberly) Barnes, of Hunker, Karen L. Rush, of Indianapolis, Ind., and David B. (Jane) Barnes, of Lafayette, Ind.; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Barnes. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler Township, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Jeffrey Potter, of Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Harriett F. (Freedline) Barnes, 84, recently of Fishers, Ind., passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, in Indianapolis, Ind. Born March 6, 1933, in Rossiter, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Boyd C. and Harriet (Hadden) Freedline. She married her husband, Raleigh H. Barnes, on Oct. 17, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio. They remained together for 54 years until his passing. She is survived by her children, Linda (Dennis) Stetz, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Keith (Kimberly) Barnes, of Hunker, Karen Rush, of Indianapolis, Ind., David (Jane) Barnes, of Lafeyette, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Barnes; sisters, Bertha Brickell and Rebecca Freedline; brothers, James Freedline and Boyd Freedline.

Her family will welcome friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at KING FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Parkwood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jeff Potter officiating. She will be laid to rest at Allegheny County Memorial Park in Allison Park.
